This policy explains which cookies are set when you use albalaghacademy.org, what each one does, and how to control them. The site uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember something about your visit — for example, that you are signed in, or what is in your cart.

Cookies we set

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work and are set only when you use the feature they support:

• ab_member — keeps you signed in to your student account.
• ab_cart_id — remembers the contents of your cart between pages.
• ab_currency — remembers the currency you chose for course prices.
• payload-token — keeps staff signed in to the content editor. Set only for staff accounts.

Payment cookies

Card payments are processed by Stripe. When you open the checkout, Stripe sets cookies (such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) for fraud prevention and to complete your payment securely — see Stripe's privacy policy. If you pay with PayPal or by bank through GoCardless, those providers set their own cookies on their checkout pages.

Spam protection

Forms on this site are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may set a cookie to verify you are not a bot.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used. Unless you explicitly accept analytics, PostHog runs in cookieless mode: nothing is stored on your device, and any state is kept in memory and cleared when you close the tab.

How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working — for example, you may be signed out or your cart may empty.
