Shaykh Tameem Ahmadi

Shaykh Tameem Ahmadi (may Allah preserve him) is a native of the Bay Area and a graduate of Newark Memorial High School. After beginning his higher education at San Francisco State University, he felt a profound calling to pursue sacred knowledge. Over the next decade, Shaykh Tameem undertook an extensive and rigorous curriculum of religious studies, learning from some of the foremost scholars across North America, Africa, and South Asia.

During his studies, Shaykh Tameem received numerous ijazaat (authorizations) in various Islamic sciences, surpassing the equivalent of a master's degree. His areas of expertise include Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Hadith (Prophetic traditions), Aqidah (Islamic theology), Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), Usul (principles of Islamic jurisprudence), Arabic Grammar, and Spirituality. He was also granted ijazah with isnad (chains of narration) in several significant books of hadith, including the Sihhah Sittah, the six most authentic collections of hadith. Notably, he received ijazah of hadith from distinguished scholars such as Mufti Taqi Usmani and Maulana Salimullah Khan.

After completing the esteemed Dars Nizami curriculum and obtaining the Shahadah Alimiyya (recognition of Islamic scholarship), Shaykh Tameem delved deeper into the Islamic Spiritual Sciences of the Heart. He studied under the private guidance of a renowned Spiritual Master, focusing on tazkiyah and tarbiyah (purification and nurturing of the heart). Having been authorized to teach and transmit these sacred sciences, Shaykh Tameem returned to the Bay Area as advised by his Shaykh.

Since his return, Shaykh Tameem has dedicated himself to teaching and enriching the local community with the knowledge he acquired. He conducts classes on Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqidah, Tazkiyah, and Arabic Grammar, and is a regular lecturer at various Masajid (mosques) and Halaqahs (study circles) throughout Northern California. In addition to teaching, Shaykh Tameem has translated several booklets and articles, contributing to Islamic literature and knowledge dissemination.

Shaykh Tameem heads numerous scholarly initiatives and serves as a counselor and mentor for religious seekers of all ages. He teaches both dedicated students of knowledge and casual learners, providing guidance and support in their spiritual and educational journeys. Fluent in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, and English, Shaykh Tameem effectively communicates and connects with a diverse community.

Shaykh Tameem Ahmadi currently resides in Fremont, CA, with his family, where he continues to inspire and lead through his scholarly and spiritual endeavors.
